The Command

This passage contains a positive command, directed toward Pharaoh through Moses, again commanding Pharaoh to release Israel.

This command is part of the Principles and Definitions. It is a One-time Command. It contributes to an understanding of Prophecy as Moses is acting as Prophet of God, and Stewardship as Pharaoh was acting as steward of God's possessions.

The command for Moses to deliver the message was fulfilled by Moses and Aaron when they delivered their message to Pharaoh in the following verses. The command to Pharaoh was eventually fulfilled by Pharaoh when he released Israel.
