Worship describes the practice of intentionally acknowledging God's attributes, by means of an expression directed toward God, in a way which is visible to others, with the sole and pure intent of honoring and glorifying God (as opposed to honoring one's self by making a show of holiness -- see Matthew 6:5). Worship can take many forms, and is not necessarily limited to song, dance, or other forms of artistic expression, but it is to be performed in strict compliance with God's commands which describe proper and improper means of worship.
