Prison is a penalty utilized by many different governments, and it is mentioned in the Bible a few times. It generally involves locking groups of criminals together in a cage for some extended period of time, and optionally affording them their basic necessities for survival or comfort. This topic will cover instances of prison sentencing in the Bible, as well as any relevant laws.
