This is the temporary page for the Principles and Definitions of the Law. For now, it will just be a short description and a bulleted list of verses which belong to this category. In the future, we will add structured explanations for this division of the law.

This is a catch-all category for passages which are not commands from God, which do not directly and formally describe the structure of Civil, Ceremonial, or Ecclesiastical government, and yet which are necessary to understand the commands of God. Passages which fit in this category may include Case Laws (such as the sin, judicial investigation, and penalty described in Genesis 3), direct definitions (such as the definition of marriage in Genesis 2:20-24), and other abstract distinctions drawn from observation which aid in understanding the law (such as the distinction between creator and creature, which we learn about in Genesis 1).
