9 And when the dew fell upon the camp in the night, the manna fell upon it.

13 Whence should I have flesh to give unto all this people? for they weep unto me, saying, Give us flesh, that we may eat.

19 Ye shall not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, neither ten days, nor twenty days,

21 And Moses said, The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand footmen; and thou hast said, I will give them flesh, that they may eat a whole month.

22 Shall flocks and herds be slain for them, to suffice them? or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to suffice them?

24 And Moses went out, and told the people the words of Jehovah: and he gathered seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them round about the Tent.

26 But there remained two men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the Spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but had not gone out unto the Tent; and they prophesied in the camp.

27 And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp.

32 And the people rose up all that day, and all the night, and all the next day, and gathered the quails: he that gathered least gathered ten homers: and they spread them all abroad for themselves round about the camp.

1 The people were complaining in the ears of YHWH. When YHWH heard it, his anger burned; and YHWH’s fire burned among them, and consumed some of the outskirts of the camp. Numbers 11:1WEB

2 The people cried to Moses; and Moses prayed to YHWH, and the fire abated. Numbers 11:2WEB

3 The name of that place was called Taberah, because YHWH’s fire burned among them. Numbers 11:3WEB

13 Where could I get meat to give all these people? For they weep before me, saying, ‘Give us meat, that we may eat.’ Numbers 11:13WEB

14 I am not able to bear all this people alone, because it is too heavy for me. Numbers 11:14WEB

15 If you treat me this way, please kill me right now, if I have found favor in your sight; and don’t let me see my wretchedness.” Numbers 11:15WEB

16 YHWH said to Moses, “Gather to me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people and officers over them; and bring them to the Tent of Meeting, that they may stand there with you. Numbers 11:16WEB

17 I will come down and talk with you there. I will take of the Spirit which is on you, and will put it on them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, that you don’t bear it yourself alone. Numbers 11:17WEB

18 “Say to the people, ‘Sanctify yourselves in preparation for tomorrow, and you will eat meat; for you have wept in the ears of YHWH, saying, “Who will give us meat to eat? For it was well with us in Egypt.” Therefore YHWH will give you meat, and you will eat. Numbers 11:18WEB

19 You will not eat just one day, or two days, or five days, or ten days, or twenty days, Numbers 11:19WEB

20 but a whole month, until it comes out at your nostrils, and it is loathsome to you; because you have rejected YHWH who is among you, and have wept before him, saying, “Why did we come out of Egypt?”’” Numbers 11:20WEB

21 Moses said, “The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand men on foot; and you have said, ‘I will give them meat, that they may eat a whole month.’ Numbers 11:21WEB

22 Shall flocks and herds be slaughtered for them, to be sufficient for them? Shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to be sufficient for them?” Numbers 11:22WEB

23 YHWH said to Moses, “Has YHWH’s hand grown short? Now you will see whether my word will happen to you or not.” Numbers 11:23WEB

24 Moses went out, and told the people YHWH’s words; and he gathered seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them around the Tent. Numbers 11:24WEB

25 YHWH came down in the cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the Spirit that was on him, and put it on the seventy elders. When the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied, but they did so no more. Numbers 11:25WEB

26 But two men remained in the camp. The name of one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad; and the Spirit rested on them. They were of those who were written, but had not gone out to the Tent; and they prophesied in the camp. Numbers 11:26WEB

27 A young man ran, and told Moses, and said, “Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp!” Numbers 11:27WEB

28 Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his chosen men, answered, “My lord Moses, forbid them!” Numbers 11:28WEB

29 Moses said to him, “Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all YHWH’s people were prophets, that YHWH would put his Spirit on them!” Numbers 11:29WEB

30 Moses went into the camp, he and the elders of Israel. Numbers 11:30WEB

31 A wind from YHWH went out and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, about a day’s journey on this side, and a day’s journey on the other side, around the camp, and about two cubits above the surface of the earth. Numbers 11:31WEB

32 The people rose up all that day, and all of that night, and all the next day, and gathered the quails. He who gathered least gathered ten homers; and they spread them all out for themselves around the camp. Numbers 11:32WEB

33 While the meat was still between their teeth, before it was chewed, YHWH’s anger burned against the people, and YHWH struck the people with a very great plague. Numbers 11:33WEB

34 The name of that place was called Kibroth Hattaavah, because there they buried the people who lusted. Numbers 11:34WEB

35 From Kibroth Hattaavah the people traveled to Hazeroth; and they stayed at Hazeroth. Numbers 11:35WEB
