Jésus n'a pas changé la définition de l'amour entre l'Ancien et le Nouveau Testament (voir Matthieu 5: 17-19). Par conséquent, la loi de Dieu dans les deux Testaments nous enseigne la définition de «l'amour».
L'amour - la catégorie scripturaire - n'est pas simplement une émotion. C'est une évaluation d'une action . Dans les Écritures, par exemple, «réprimander son prochain» est une chose «aimante» à faire. Châtier physiquement votre enfant quand il pèche est un acte d'amour.
