1 All the commandment which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which Jehovah sware unto your fathers.

3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by everything that proceedeth out of the mouth of Jehovah doth man live.

10 And thou shalt eat and be full, and thou shalt bless Jehovah thy God for the good land which he hath given thee.

11 Beware lest thou forget Jehovah thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his ordinances, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:

12 lest, when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein;

14 then thy heart be lifted up, and thou forget Jehovah thy God, who brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage;

15 who led thee through the great and terrible wilderness, `wherein were' fiery serpents and scorpions, and thirsty ground where was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint;

16 who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not; that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end:

17 and `lest' thou say in thy heart, My power and the might of my hand hath gotten me this wealth.

18 But thou shalt remember Jehovah thy God, for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth; that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as at this day.

19 And it shall be, if thou shalt forget Jehovah thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.

20 As the nations that Jehovah maketh to perish before you, so shall ye perish; because ye would not hearken unto the voice of Jehovah your God.

1 You shall observe to do all the commandments which I command you today, that you may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which YHWH swore to your fathers. Deuteronomy 8:1WEB

2 You shall remember all the way which YHWH your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, to test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments or not. Deuteronomy 8:2WEB

3 He humbled you, allowed you to be hungry, and fed you with manna, which you didn’t know, neither did your fathers know, that he might teach you that man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of YHWH’s mouth. Deuteronomy 8:3WEB

4 Your clothing didn’t grow old on you, neither did your foot swell, these forty years. Deuteronomy 8:4WEB

5 You shall consider in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so YHWH your God disciplines you. Deuteronomy 8:5WEB

6 You shall keep the commandments of YHWH your God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him. Deuteronomy 8:6WEB

7 For YHWH your God brings you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of springs, and underground water flowing into valleys and hills; Deuteronomy 8:7WEB

15 who led you through the great and terrible wilderness, with venomous snakes and scorpions, and thirsty ground where there was no water; who poured water for you out of the rock of flint; Deuteronomy 8:15WEB

16 who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers didn’t know, that he might humble you, and that he might prove you, to do you good at your latter end; Deuteronomy 8:16WEB

17 and lest you say in your heart, “My power and the might of my hand has gotten me this wealth.” Deuteronomy 8:17WEB

18 But you shall remember YHWH your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as it is today. Deuteronomy 8:18WEB

19 It shall be, if you shall forget YHWH your God, and walk after other gods, and serve them and worship them, I testify against you today that you shall surely perish. Deuteronomy 8:19WEB

20 As the nations that YHWH makes to perish before you, so you shall perish, because you wouldn’t listen to YHWH your God’s voice. Deuteronomy 8:20WEB
