Divining is the practice of discerning information (any information at all) by supernatural means, or by means of a tool with supernatural properties. Divining can be done by means of teraphim to contact false-gods or powers invented by superstition (see Zechariah 10:2). Divining is also done in contact with the true God by means of the Urim and Thummim (see Exodus 28). This topic will cover laws which define acceptable and unacceptable uses and methods for divining.
